Ta'areef
Hifze Surah: Qur'aane Kareem ki kisi surah ke yaad karne ko "Hifze Surah" kehte hain.
Memorizing any chapter of the Noble Qur'an is called "Hifze Surah" (Surah memorization).
Hadees:
Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaaya: [Qiyaamat ke din] Saahibe Qur'aan [Haafiz] se kaha jaayega: Qur'aan Shareef padhta ja aur jannat ke darjon par chadhta ja aur thaher thaher kar padh jaisa ke tu duniya mein thaher thaher kar padhta tha, bas tera maqaam wahi hoga; jahaan teri aakhri aayat ki tilaawat khatm hogi.
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: [On the Day of Judgment] the person who has memorized the Qur'an [Haafiz] will be called forward and commanded: Keep reciting the Noble Qur'an and ascend the levels of paradise. Recite slowly and measuredly as you used to do in the world, for your position will be determined at the point where you finish reciting the final verse.
Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaaya: Jis shakhs ke dil mein Qur'aane Kareem ka koi hissa bhi mehfooz nahin, woh weeraan ghar ki tarah hai [Tirmizi: 2913, Ibne Abbas (RA)]. Lihaaza Qur'aane Kareem ko hifz karna chaahiye, kam az kam itna to zaroor yaad hona chaahiye; jis se namaaz saheeh ho jaaye.
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: The person in whose heart no part of the Noble Qur'an is preserved is like a desolate house [Tirmidhi: 2913, Ibn Abbas (RA)]. Therefore, one should endeavor to memorize the Noble Qur'an, or at least, a sufficient portion of it, so that the prayer can be performed correctly.
