Method of Offering Salaam

• Donon taraf salaam pherna.

 

• Offer Salaam on both sides.

 

• Pehle daahni taraf salaam pherna phir baayein taraf.

 

• First, offer Salaam on the right side, then on the left side.

 

• Salaam pherte waqt gardan ko itna modna ke peechhe ke logon ko rukhsaar [gaal] nazar aa jaaye.

 

• While offering Salaam, turn your neck enough so that the side of your face (cheek) becomes visible to the people behind you.

 

• Imaam ko muqtadiyon, farishton aur nek jinnaat ki niyyat karna.

 

• Imaam intend to Salaam the fellow muqtadis, the angels, and righteous jinn beings.

 

• Muqtadi ko Imaam, farishton, nek jinnaat aur daayein baayein taraf ke muqtadiyon ki niyyat karna.

 

• The muqtadi should intend to Salaam the imam, the angels, righteous jinns, and the fellow muqtadis on the right and left sides.

 

• Munfarid ko sirf farishton ki niyyat karna.

 

• An individual offering namaz alone should only intend to Salaam the angels.

 

• Muqtadi ko imaam ke saath saath salaam pherna.

 

• The follower should offer Salaam together with the imam.

 

• Doosre salaam ki aawaaz ko pehle salaam ki aawaaz se past karna.

 

• Lower the volume of the second Salaam compared to the volume of the first Salaam.
